The National Service Scheme of Malyagiri Mahavidyalaya is directly controlled by Utkal University. There are 02 units of N.S.S. having a strength 50 students each. Out of which one is boys and other is girls’ unit. The students of all the classes are eligible to join it is voluntary at present. MOTTO :- Not me but you Main objective :- Personality development of volunteers through community participation. Programme under this Scheme : The Malyagiri Mahavidyalaya National Service has won a proud place in the hearts of villagers. The basic objectives of this organisation are to educate the students outside their class room through community service. To develop in them a sense of dedication to the cause of the welfare of the society, to create in them love for the motherland through the realisation of a sense of belonging, and to launch a drive against illiteracy. The units under taken various programmes namely literate drive, physical work health and sanitary drive in the local town and near by village campaigns are made to fight the socio-economic problems, for example HIV/AIDS, foeticide, untouchability, child marriage, superstitions, drought, afforestation, flood, fire etc. steps are also being taken to strengthen the cause of National Integration Programs shall be implemented to bridge up the gap between student youths and non-students youths in village Incentives to the volunteers of N.S.S.

2. Award of certificate, medals to distinguished N.S.S. members at the college, state and National level.
3. Proper publicity of the works.
4. Supply of uniforms and caps.
5. preference in matters of employments.
6. Opportunity to participate in N.S.S. programmer held at state level and thus enabling students to visit their places.

At present Mr. Chandan Kumar Das,Lecturer inPol.Sc.(+3 Boys) , Mr. Gobardhan Naik Lecturer in Odia(+2 Boys) is the Programme officer of Boys Unit and Mrs. Bagmi Manjari Biswal, Lecturer in Pol.Sc. is for the Girls Unit.
